Late 19th century French portrait of a gentleman in military attire, oil on canvas.

It is signed “Cassel”, and the subject’s name “Assul J.C ” has been added to the portrait on the bottom left.

It is in good vintage condition for its age, although somewhat slightly faded with bags of character.
