Charming vintage framed seascape, oil on board

Utterly charming vintage seascape painting, oil on board, signed and dated.

It is signed by the artist H George Wooldridge and dated 1953 .  It is entitled “Barquentine in rough sea” which is inscribed on the back.

A beautifully executed piece with very delicate brush strokes, creating a lovely atmosphere.

The frame is showing signs of age, giving this painting immense charm.
