Antique French wicker harvest basket, circa 1900

Beautiful grape pickers antique French basket in a beautiful shape.  These baskets were designed around 1870 to 1890 and were used in Burgundy for grape picking.

Possibly crafted from hazel or cob nut wood which can be found in the hedgerows of rural France, it is in good vintage condition with a great shape and rigidity.

A very decorative item that would look lovely in the kitchen, on a side table or even on top of a cupboard.
